Today on HJS we will remember civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., born January 15, 1929. We will explore Houston's civil rights movement led by a group of TSU students and assisted by black business leaders. It is a very unique chapter in the city's history about how Houston desegregated quietly to avoid mass protest and negative national media coverage. We will spotlight the music of trumpeter, composer, educator, Brandon Lee.
